Principles of Soil Mechanics

This book is intended primarily as a text for use in a first course in soil mechanics at either the senior undergraduate or graduate level. No special mathematical ability is required beyond that taught in the undergraduate curricula of engineering schools. However, . an understanding of the mechanics of continua is presumed. In addition to its classroom use, the book will also be valuable as a reference for consulting and research engineers.
