The Second Southeast Asia Water Forum (VOL 2: Proceedings of Technical Papers)

Arising from the water and ministerial forums there are four clear conclusions: i) that the ASEAN countries interact and share lessons in policy development as there is di much to share and many expriences from which other countries can learn, ii) that growth across SE Asia is subtantials that the imperative is to ensure we have in plance effective and efficient water resource policy, planning and management, iii) that although challenges remain, progess toward the related to millenium development goals targets in south-east Asia has shown substantial progress in the last decade, these achivement in many casses besed on strong community agencies, support from NGOs and the growing involvement of the private sector, and iv) that remaining challenges in water resources management need to be tackled by real actions that are recommended on both water and ministerial foeum call for actions from all component of water resources stakeholders.
