Play Indoor & Outdoor

Children's play is one of the most creative experiences in all of human culture resulting in new languages, nursery rhymes, imaginary creatures both friend and foe, and entire fantastical universes. The wonder and creativity with which children explore their environment is immeasurable. Influential designers around the world, fueled by recent findings in the fields of psychology, focusing heir ingenuity on shaping the most stimulating and interactive places in which today's children can grow and learn. The project in Play! Indoor & Outdoor range from nurse schools to outdoor playgrounds to day care centers, and are located everywhere from Japan and Brazil to Portugal and Norway. However, all of the project share an incredible ability to reinvent space based on the scale, safety, socialization patterns, involvement, and educational and emotional needs of the children whose formative years take place in these buildings. Unprecedented in the extent to which these designers focus on the way a child thinks, the spaces within Play! Indoor & Outdoor surpass all previous designed play spaces through the careful consideration of each element.
